As we come to the end of another year here at the Element Wave HQ, we are also celebrating our company’s sixth anniversary. It’s been an interesting road over the last six years with plenty of high points. Looking back over the last 12 months we are proud of what we have achieved as a team, continuing to learn, and working hard to deliver the very best experiences for our customers and their end-users.
At Element Wave we are delighted with our many achievements throughout the year: we finished product development and went live with version 1.0 of our brand new platform, we gained new business, renewed old contracts with happy customers, as well as adding more great awards to our collection. We also learned a lot about our growing team (especially about how competitive we are at our company table quizzes!) and even more about our industry and what really makes it tick. We also released our exciting case study together with bwin.party which illustrated the true impact of our technology for sportsbetting.
The year started on a high note with our first stand at the ICE Totally Gaming trade-show in London in February. This was another milestone for our company and an excellent opportunity to meet more of our industry prospects face-to-face. It was the perfect occasion to launch our next-generation platform and its game-changing benefits. Our platform’s focus remains to be the most ‘real-time’ Mobile Marketing Automation platform on the planet. We are planning an even bigger stand for ICE 2017 where we will be showcasing even more sportsbetting and gaming examples while we’re there. In June, we were recognised at the EGR B2B awards in London for the second year in a row. In winning two awards this year, we were honoured to be named Acquisition & Retention Partner of the Year and to hold the award for Mobile Services Provider for the second consecutive year, beating tough competition.
Also in June, our CTO, James Harkin, was invited to speak at the Acquisition & Retention Zone at the iGaming Super Show. His presentation, Mobile CRM – Do or Die, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly highlighted the challenges app owners face when it comes to player retention and churn including the steps that can be taken to address them. We had a super busy stand at the show also and it was great to meet everyone there. I hear that the pints of Guinness served at our stand were the best ones at the event!
This summer was a bumper time for sports with the 2016 Euros and Olympic Games dominating. Given both these events, it meant that in 2016 we had the largest annual volume of push notifications through our system to date and the counter is still ticking! We are so proud that the speed of our platform continues to lead the market and we are looking forward to maximizing even more in-play opportunities and turnover for our customers in 2017.
Since the company was founded, we have continued to grow year-on-year and our commitment to our customers remains the same: to deliver fast, game-changing data-driven technology for their end-users. In fact, in the time it’s taken you to read this post, we will have sent over 1.6 million push notifications and in-app messages through our platform.
