A Quarter In Review
We are one-quarter of the way through 2017 already. Spring is here once more and the mobile tech space is still moving as quickly as ever. We’ve been busy making updates to our Element Wave SDKs and upgrading our CRM automation feature-set around data-mining and machine learning.
As we approach the end of Q1, I wanted to share what we have achieved and what we have been working on over the first few months of the year. As always, I’m so proud of our team and what we’ve accomplished so far.
Recognised By Gartner Technology
I was delighted when we were included on Gartner’s hugely influential Market Guide For Mobile Marketing Leaders in January which recognises the world’s top performers in mobile marketing automation and analytics. It’s a major win for us as this is Element Wave’s first inclusion on the list, and we are the only betting and gaming specialist to be included under the category of Mobile Website and App User Analytics. It’s rewarding to be acknowledged by Gartner which recognises excellence in technology and understands the impact that mobile is playing in the lives of consumers and businesses around the world.
The Element Wave mobile marketing automation platform was praised specifically for our real-time focus, our unique chained campaigns feature and ability to drive marketing campaigns in real-time situations and events, a focus for many use-cases in betting and gaming.
Element Wave At ICE
In February, some of the Element Wave team travelled to ICE Totally Gaming for our third outing at the Betting and Gaming trade show.
One of the most popular aspects for visitors to our stand was our speed. Element Wave is the fastest mobile marketing automation platform on the planet. Our real-time demos impressed especially when applied to the fast-moving nature of real-time marketing. Other highlights included the flexibility of real-time targeting and contextualisation and of course our Guinness Happy Hour.
Q1 Success Stories
In January we finalised integration with The Football Pools who are already seeing success with the platform. They’ve seen significant increases in DAU, MAU, and bets-per-user and we’re looking forward to enjoying further success with them over the coming months. Our team is really enjoying working with The Football Pools team too – we love their recent ‘Win The Pools’ campaign and new TV ad.
We also celebrated a Decade in Mobile and took some time to reflect just how far smartphones have come and how the changing shape of mobile is changing how we communicate in society.
We’re also sharing lots more mobile iGaming insights on the Element Wave blog and in our Mobile iGaming Insights report. We’ve been working with some of the most high-profile sports betting companies in the world, and wanted to share some of the data we’ve collected.

On a personal note, I was honoured to be included in 25 of Ireland’s Phenomenal Women of Engineering published by Silicon Republic to celebrate International Women’s Day and Ireland’s Engineers Week. It’s great to see such a focus on the strengths and accomplishments of women in STEM around the world.
The European football calendar is busy again over the coming months with the World Cup Qualifiers, Champions League, and Europa League so our customers are planning their CRM strategies on mobile engagement and how to get the best return on player retention over the coming months.
Given that there is no major sporting event this summer, our Element Wave mobile marketing team want to share some actionable insights into coping during a summer without the Euros, a World Cup or the Olympics.
